One month till Christmas!!!

Iam so excited that Christmas is in only a month!
My tree's are up, the stockings are hung and my three pound Chihuahua is wearing his very own mini Santa Suit.
He actually loves it.
Tries to bite me if I try and take it off.
I could see his name on Santa's naughty list if he wasn't so darn cute!
So this months Blog theme was silver and gold.
If you have arrived here from Sallys blog than you are in the right place.
If you have missed any here is the blog hop order.
I hope you enjoy all the creations and have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas!

Blog Hope Order

Sandy thats me!!
My first card is a mo manning image Baby's First Christmas I used silver glitter accents and gold stickler in the stars on the ornament.

My second image is Molly Blooms penguin. I used silver and gold on the tree's and on the snowflake and gold on the stars.

It feels like Christmas!!

This past weekend my family and I decorated the house.
The tree in the living room and a second smaller tree in the dining room.
Nutcrackers on shelves.
Snowman on the mantle.
The Holy Family looking out at us all.
I love the feeling the house gets when its dressed up for Christmas.
Iam always surprised when people ask me if I get sick of it since I decorate so early.
Nope!
I wait all year long for it to get here.
Even leaving it up for two and a half months seems so short compared to the rest of the year I spend missing it.
Iam grateful that my Bald Man gets me and indulges me in my crazy Christmas love.
I have made two simple Christmas cards using the new Wee Stamps friendship is the greatest gift and winter friends.
Now I have to ask.
Who wouldn't want to go for a walk and get to have a penguin hold your hand.
That would be AMAZING!!!!
Iam entering these into the http://www.onecrazystampercom.blogspot.ca christmas card challenge.

I also made a snowy winter scene using a Kraftin Kimmie Stamp called Eva!
Iam entering her into this weeks anything goes challenge http://kraftinkimmiestamps.blogspot.ca

Thanks for stopping by to say hi!
Enjoy all the build up that leads to the big day.
The build up is really the best part.

Two Months Till Christmas Blog Hop!!!!!

Iam so excited that we are almost officially in the Christmas season!!
With all the decorations at Costco you would think we were already but we do need to enjoy Halloween too.
We had a great Thanksgiving this month at my Bald Man sister home with her kids and his parents.
I cooked a small turkey the next day at home because my daughter almost cried at the idea of no turkey left overs.
Now I have five hundred pieces of candy waiting for the army of goblins we get every Halloween.
Thats what I love about this time of year.
There is always something fun going on!
Today the fun is our monthly Christmas Blog Hop.
Myself and the other lovely ladies get a jump on our Christmas card making and share them with you on the 25 of every month.
Its my favourite day of the month!
I love hopping along and looking at all the beautiful cards/projects everyone creates.
They are all very inspiring.

If you have arrived from Sally's blog then welcome and Merry Two months till Christmas!
I will post the blog order in case you missed any.

                                                             This Months Blog Hop Order:

This months theme was inspired by a picture.

My first card I used a new Wee stamp called Friendship is the Greatest Gift.
I used the greens and the reds and finally used some of my new candy cane coloured paper flowers.

My second card I used my new Krafftin Kimmie Santa and Pup stamp from their September release.
I used the red and whites to bring out the candy theme from the mantle in the inspiration picture.
I added some holly printed card stock to bring out the wreath and the greenery.

I also played with my new Molly Bloom Polar Stamp!
I love Polar Bears at Christmas..........thanks Coke :)

Fall is in the air!

Woke up this morning to wind and rain.
A couple days ago I was in flip flops today I was wearing a toque.
This afternoon I could be wearing flip flops again.
Typical Victoria coming of fall.
Weather that can't seem to make up its mind.
While it poured this morning I stayed in with a cup of tea and my new Simply Betty Digi that I am entering into the Facebook Fan Challenge for August 13th thru Sept 13th.

Not sure how much I am loving her streaks that I put in though.
I used a black glitter pen and thought it would be a bit more subtle than how it turned out.
Now she looks like a wicked hottie with shades of grey :)

Almost Back to School

The last weekend before our routine goes back to " Normal ".
Make lunches before bed for the kids, up early for work and school, homework, bedtime and repeat the next day.
I may shake up our routine this year as I look further into home schooling.
Iam still undecided.
Homeschooling would be a new routine.
A big change.
We spent the morning with my Bald Mans sister and Niece.
Seems like forever ago that my kids were that small.
Back in the days that I should've put more thought into home schooling verses traditional schooling.
Arghh to be able to rewind and do things differently.
Iam sure I am not the only parent out there that wishes we could rewind and have a do over.
That brings me to my card that I worked on today.
Baby Card!!
A friend of mine asked me to make her a card for a friend who just had a baby boy.
I havent had a chance to play with this little cutie by Mo Manning so I thought today was the day.
I went with my Bo Bunny papers and a few of my my go to buttons.

My next two cards are  inspired by Frosty the Snowman, What a jolly happy Soul!
Lol this Frosty may not be too happy to be photo bombed though.

I made two and the plan was to choose my favourite.
Honestly I like them both so I thought I may as well use them both.

Love all around you

This summer has been a challenge with more than a few people in our lives leaving us to soon.
Family and friends, young and old.
Its made me realize that you really have to show those that are important to you a lot of love now, not wait till tomorrow.
I have been blessed this summer to have had a lot of people ask me to make them cards to express their love and joy for the people in their own lives.
I have made Engament cards, wedding cards and anniversary cards.
I have been thrilled to be even a small  part of all this love.
Hug as often as you can everyday.

Five Months Till CHRISTMAS BABY!!!!!!!!

Iam so excited that we are only five months till Christmas!!!
Being lucky enough to be part of this monthly Christmas blog hop is literally a dream come true for a Christmas nut like me.
This blog gives me a chance every month to display my Christmas cards and keep me motivated so I don't fall behind for the upcoming Christmas craft fairs.
Its also allowed me to be part of an amazingly talented group of woman  that inspire me monthly.
If you have arrived from the talented Sallys blog than you are in the right spot to see the hop in order.
At the bottom of the post I have the hop order in case you may have missed one.
This months theme is Non-traditional Christmas colours.
For me Traditional Christmas colours are Red and Green.
My first card I used brown card stock as my base and some of my brown toned Vintage Whimsy stamp papers.
I used my Kraftin Kimmie Nativity stamps and coloured them all up in earth tones.
I did add some Poinsettia stickers after that are shades of pink and greens and a strip of red but it is mostly earth tones I think.
I also went a tad crazy with my Spica glitter pen lol.

My second card I used charcoal grey as the base than shades of baby blue and white.
I used my new Tiddly Inks Stamp  and got to play with my Whimsy Snowflake die cuts again.
Love, love, love them.
My Big Shot is the coolest  prezzie my Bald Man has ever bought me next to my first iPod.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Christmas cards I hope that you are enjoying the hop.
Next stop is Lee Ann blog and I know you will love it!!!

Movies in the park tonight

Every summer in the town I live in they have movies in the park.
The park over looks the ocean and they bring in a large screen.
You show up with lawn chairs and hoodies and coffee.
I find hoodies necessary even though its summer because it cools off so close to the ocean.
Tonight they are playing the Croods.
My daughter Karlie wanted to see this one in theatres but movies out are not always in the budget.
At the park its by donation to help support the local food bank.
I had a nap this afternoon after work to guarantee that I wont be falling asleep in my lawn chair.

This week I had an order for a wedding card.
The first image to come to my mind was the Sylvia Zett stamp Love me do.
You can see all her digital images at http://www.weestamps.com

I made two so she had a choice and then she bought both.
I was very pleased she liked them both.

A little extra cash that I can justify buying new craft supplies.

Hope that you all have a great weekend.

Baby!!

This weekend is one of my good friends baby showers!
Iam looking forward to helping her celebrate the upcoming arrival of her first baby.
I remember that time in my own life.
It was both exciting and terrifying .
She will make a great mother!
Not sure if this will be the card that I give her as I am not totally thrilled with how it turned out.
However I am loving the digital images from https://www.redonkadoodles.com
We don't know what she is having thats why I went with a pink and blue feel.
now looking at it I think it feels more like a twins card because of the two sleepers.
Hmmmm we shall see :)

Six Month till Christmas Blog Hop!!!!!!

Can you believe thats its already SIX MONTHS till Christmas!!!!!
Iam so excited already!!!
For me the best part of Christmas is the build up.
Thats why I love being part of this monthly Blog hop.
The hop was  created so that when the season is upon us we have time to enjoy it.
So If you have arrived from the Talented Sally's Blog then you are in the right place if not you will want to follow the links at the bottom of my page so you can enjoy the hop in order.
We all love to read your  comments they are like early Christmas presents.
This month we were given a photo to inspire us.

My first card  I used Saturated Canary's Snow Blower.
I love all the stamps that Krista has designed they are so much fun.
In this card I tried to incorportae some plaid, and the green that was on top of the cupcake in the photo.
I was thrilled to get a chance to use my new Whimsy Stamp Snowflake Die.
As usual I added some buttons because they are my favourite go to embellishments.

My second card I used a non Christmas stamp from Some Odd Girl and paper pieced her dress in Christmas plaid.
I paired her up with my favourite little chubby Snowman from Kraftin Kimmie and paper pieced his scarf with the same papers.

Weddings and three funerals

This has been one of those months.
My husband has lost two Uncles in the past three weeks and my son has lost an old friend.
When life throws you these sour grapes it truly makes you appreciate all the little pleasures in your life.
Tonight my pleasure is visiting my blog buddies sites, drinking a steamed soy and Matcha while sitting with my Bald Man.
Iam also very excited to share a card I was commissioned to make for a bridal shower.

I truly love this stamping Bella image :)
The lady that ordered this card loved it so much I am pleased to say she has asked me to make a wedding card now.
Thanks for stopping by

Healing thoughts

I used the  Kenny K image Soldier Girl to make my friend and neighbour a get well card after she came home today from surgery.
I admire my friend.
She is not only a soldier but a mother and a wife and still has time to be a friend.
Both she and her husband are both in the Canadian forces.
I can only imagine how hard that job is.
Healing thoughts for her to have a speedy recovery so we can sit out on the porch and have a glass of wine.

Watering the plants

The weather felt like summer today!
The sun was hot and there was a salty breeze coming from the ocean.
Not a cold breeze but the kind that makes you think of sea shells and sunscreen.
Drug store romance novels and sun hats while you lounge sea side on a multi coloured beach towel.
My kids are not so much into making sand castles anymore but that actually doesn't make me as sad as I thought it would.
I dont have to guard them like a hawk by the water as they play, chase them with sunscreen or holler at them for wandering too far.
I can relax again and enjoy the beach.
I love and enjoy my family time but I appreciate the freedom that having older kids bring as compared to the mama's chasing toddlers.
No beach today  but I am typing and listening to my sprinkler in my little yard watering our tomato plants, our strawberry patch, my pumpkin patch, sweet peas and Roses.
I can smell wet grass and our mint patch smells yummy after you water it.
Today I stayed close to home as I battle a head cold that my Loving Bald Man shared with me.
I would've preferred flowers but he tried.
So while I hung out at home I played with my new Digi from Saturated canary called Summer Hottie.
Iam entering her into the One Crazy Stamper summer is fun contest http://www.onecrazystampercom.blogspot.ca/2013/06/june-summer-fun-challenge.html

Thanks for stoping by and hope that you had a great day!

Chilly weekend Crafting

Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
The calendar says June 1st but I think that might be a typo.
I have a warm sweater on but I am wearing flip flops to be optimistic.
Is it warm where ever you are?
I have decided to spend Saturday in my craft room.
Whats your plans?
My husband is feeling under the weather and my kids are busy ,so I figure coffee, crafts and the Office on Netflix sounds good to me.
Do you watch tv or listen to music while you craft?
I did run a few errands this morning so its not like I am totally being a hermit.
Banking is done, grabbed a roasting chicken to cook for diner and stopped at Serious coffee for my daily soy milk match tea extra hot.
Yummy!!!!
Matcha is my new addiction.
Having worked at Starbucks for many, many years I do know the many health benefits to Matcha.
I  highly recommend it to any of you that haven't tried it.
Also treated  myself to a single pump of coconut syrup to sweeten it up a wee bit.
The full shot of syrup is WAY to much........blah!!!

Iam working on Christmas cards for our towns Christmas craft fair.
I used my favourite cute and chubby http://www.kraftinkimmiestamps.com snowman  " sending winter hugs "

I had some Happy Mail this week too. I fell in love with the Stamping Bella Image Emily and Ryan under the umbrella.
I just love the sentiment " If NOTHING lasts forever, please be my NOTHING " its like its should be the title of a Cheesy Chick Flic that I love.
I tried to colour pleats on her raincoat and they didn't really turn out but its on my list of things to practise.

This image also comes with  the sentiment  " for your Bridal Shower ".
I have a few nieces who have  become grown young woman so I figure I may be using this sentiment in the next couple years or so.
Thanks for stopping by my Blog today!!!
Hope that you have a great Saturday night!
Hugs

Happy Seven Months to Christmas!!!!!

Welcome to our Countdown to Christmas Blog Hop!!!!
If you have come from the talented Saras blog welcome !!
If you have just come by for a visit and would like to check out the blog in order I have posted the hop order with links at the end of my post.

I have been having so much fun making Christmas cards every month!  I am well on my way to filling my table at this years Christmas Craft Fair. Being part of this Christmas Blog hop is seriuosly fun and helpful.

This months theme is Festive flowers.
When you make cards according to a theme you realize what supplies you are lacking in your craft room.
For me it was Christmas flowers.
Happily  I was able to come up with some.
Then my Darling Bald Man bought me a Big Shot with some fabulous Dies that I am looking forward to sharing with you all in the coming months projects.

My first card that I made I used a Holly Hobby Christmas stamp that my husband bought me this past Christmas season that I hadn't had a chance to use yet.
Iam please how it turned out. I also realized that I may need stronger glasses for the finer detailed stamps.

For my second project I found an old brochure frame and thought it might be fun to try and make it into a 3D type card.
Not totally sure if I am in love with it but it made for a fun afternoon and has given me some new ideas.

I got to use one of my favorite Christmas Tilda stamps from Magnolia and I paired her up with    a fun Kraftin Kimmie Snowman.
I hope you enjoyed your visit to my Blog and hope you had a chance to visit the blogs of all the other lovely christmas Hop. If you missed one or came across my blog by chance here is the blog hop order with links.
Merry Early Christmas!!!!

Poor Sick Kid

Iam sitting on the couch next to my poor sick 14 year old boy watching the Big Bang Theory.
One minute he is shivering under the blanket the next minute he is over heated kicking the blanket to the floor.
He cracked me up when he announced he has Monopause.
Seriously it was really funny.
Taking care of him kept me busy today so not a lot of time for crafting but I noticed I have several cards I haven't posted yet.

Birthday cake

So most years for my birthday I do not have a birthday cake.
I love cake but wont eat it so we just don't get one.
This year Butt be dammed I wanted cake so we had two lol.
Granted I didn't actually eat two cakes but I did have two pieces and they were soooo good it was wrong.
Now no more cake.
Maybe next year though just because I think turning 40 will deserve cake and an anti depressent.

I recently found this digi from https://www.redonkulousdesigns.com.
I love how cheeky she is.

Eight Months till Christmas Blog Hop!!!

Welcome can you believe thats its only eight months till Christmas.
I was sitting in my living room this afternoon and was picturing where I could put up a second Christmas tree this year.
Since I still have to get through flip flop season before my husband even wants to discuss a second Christmas tree , I will make Christmas cards to get my fix.
This months Christmas Blog Hop Theme is animals.
This was a lot of fun for me since I primarily use people images.
Again thanks to the ladies of the Christmas Blog for inviting me to join in on the fun!!

If you have arrived here from the talented Sallys blog then you are in the right place. If you happened to stop by for a visit, great! I am so glad you are here...but please start at creative Shari'sblog so you can enjoy all the beautiful cards/projects everyone has made. At the bottom of this post I will put the entire blog hop order for you to follow.

Wee stamps Christmas Bunny
http://www.weestamps.com

I just love the Wee Stamps Christmas Bunny. He looks so happy up there on top of all those Christmas Presents.
I coloured him up with copics and used some cute little sticky buttons that I found at our local dollar store.
Punched out some snowflakes and glittered the tips up with my spica glitter pen and added a rinestone in the centre for extra sparkle.
The papers are from my Recollections Blue Christmas 6x6 pack.
I love the blue/pink colour combo when I make cards that have snow.

* C.C. Designs Reindeer Lights Digi Image

I just fell in love with this little guy because this is what my husband looks like every year putting up our lights.
Again I coloured him up with copics and chalked the edges in red. Used a sentiment from my Kraftin Kimmie Christmas sentiment pack.
The papers are from Bo Bunnys Mistletoe collection and the rhinestones I used where actually in my stocking this year from Santa.
Again Thanks for stopping by and helping us count down to Christmas.
Hugs and Merry Early Christmas

April Feels Like A Blur

This month has continued whizzing by.
Work and the kids and even my 39th Birthday have kept me busy.
My Bald Man and the kids took me out for fish and chips ( a real treat as I don't eat anything fried )
The restaurant is right down on the ocean so the view was stunning despite the rain.
My kids were even smiling at the same time.
Happy kids but teenagers don't always like to be seen smiling when out in public with their parents.
Today sun is shining  for which I am extremely greatful.
My wee little Chihuahuas are soaking up the rays on the porch as I type.
They are barking a lot today from the porch which keeps me hoping up to see why.
We have a grumpy Cougar in the area.
Where we live we have Cougars out and about alot but for the most part they stay far away from people.
Unfortunately this one doesnt .
Thats one of the perks and pitfalls about living out of the city.
You get to enjoy nature but you also have to always be aware and know the rules.
Today I got to work on a couple more mothers Day cards that I have had people order.

This little Tilda from Magnolia stamps was my first ever stamp purchase

I coloured her up with Copics and the papers I used were from a pad that I found at winners, the company is called Cloisonne. The paper almost feels like wall paper.

Wee stamps I love you Slow Much

I know I used her on my last Blog Post but I just love her. She is just adorable and alot of fun to colour. The papers are also from the same pack I found at Winners.

Hope your all having a great week so far and hope you have sunshine to enjoy as well.
Thanks for visiting

Hugs Sandy

Wow!! Seems like Forever!

Holy Cow!!
Seems like forever since I had time to blog and visit all the Blogs I follow.
Here in Sooke the weather is grey and rainy but I will take it.
Too many family and friends are reporting snow in other places in Canada.
The rain just means I will wait a bit still before I start my flower gardens.
Some good comes from the rain today  I actually got into my craft room.
In honour of Mothers day just around the corner I made two cards with that theme.
Both of these cards have been ordered by a teacher that works at the school I clean.
Still not sure what kind of Mothers Day card I will make for my own mother.

I love you low much
http://www.weestamps.com

The second card I worked on is also a wee stamp by Sylvia Zet, I thought he was a cutie. When my nephew Jacob was a little guy he used to pick little flowery weeds from the grass and fill my pockets with them before I went home. Now he is a grown man. Time sure does fly by.
