147 More Days to Christmas

So far this summer the weather has hardly been summery. Fog, rain, wind, grey. Some days have stepped up but more days I find I am looking forward to the possibility of snow this winter. I say possibility because here in Victoria BC snow doesn't usually show up. When it does though the city shuts down for a day and we get to play. So yesterday after work I came home and played with my http://www.kraftinkimmiestamps.com sending winter Hugs Snowman. I love him he is a little cutie.  I thought instead of a card I would make a Christmas type decoration.  Had a lot of trouble taking a decent picture of it though so this is it. 

Iam back from summer vacation

Feels like forever since I have done anything crafty but now I am back from summer vacation and ready to get crafty. My Bald Man sweetly allowed me to take over his den as my new craft room. Love the room soooooooo much! Tonight I enjoyed some much needed crafting time by practising skin tones. Have I mentioned I love my new craft room lol.

Sunday in the city

The weather was hot today. Got up early and enjoyed Sunday breakfast with my Bald Man and the kids. Then we grabbed the camera and headed into town to enjoy the sights at the inner harbour. Most of my  family tanned, one stayed the same  and of course I got burnt. I have a love hate relationship with the sun. Despite my burn I have missed the sunshine this long grey winter so I choose to LOVE it.
Earlier this morning before we left I had an hour to play so I used my first Sparkle Creation stamp. My neighborhood has a belly or two announcing  new babes by the end of summer. So I figured I had better get on the new baby cards.

Lazy,lazy day and I LOVED it!

Woke up early this morning and curled up on the couch with a cup of tea and that set the tone of the day. Walked around the Sooke market, hung out with my Bald man , coloured and now I am waiting for my treat that Pat bought for desert tonight. A yummy looking Gluten Free Chocolate slice. 

The image today that I coloured is the adorable Kiki La Rue from http://www.allthatscraps.com/. I thought she would make a cute Birthday Card for a girlfriend of mine. 

Summer FINALLY arrived!

I say summer has arrived because we had a day without wind, rain or grey sky. However the temperature was more Spring like than 4th of July. I will take it though. Felt great to get outside and soak up some much needed vitamin D. I haven't been crafting lately as I was busy the past week or so with a house guest. My daughters best friend came to spend some time with us before she moved to another province. Sad times here. I am hoping that my daughter will find me entertaing enough to help her through the summer. Today I had a little while to play with my new Sea Jewels stamp set from http://www.kraftinkimmiestamps.com/. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far and stay safe when out and about.

I am not sure I can ever say how much I love http://www.onecrazystamper.com/ This store has everything I could want from a craft supply store.
I also love what I call  GREAT customer service in a box.
When ever I order from Victoria BC my order takes a week or less to arrive from Ontario.
Lora packages up my order with such thought and care with pink or green tissue paper wrapping and candies. When I open the box it just makes me happy wich  is why I call it GREAT customer service in a box.
Today I received new papers and embelishments and my ABSOLUTE favourite new Copics.
Here in Victoria one marker averages to be ten to twelve dollars a pen.
Completely out of my price range  http://www.onecrazystamper.com/ charges 5.99 for a sketch marker. LOVE IT! Once when I needed a refill ink I called a store here in Victoria and they told me it would arrive from the Mainland in 3 weeks.

So I ordered it from one crazy stamper and I was able to be colouring with that shade again in less than one week.  Brilliant. Never again will I pay silly prices at Michaels where I leave feeling like I over paid. I am a http://www.onecrazystamper.com/ fan.

186 Days till Christmas!

The weather outside here in Victoria BC has been more frightful than delightful. Victoria should be blue sky and flip flops by this time of year. Instead its rain,wind,grey skies and then more of the same the next day. I was so excited to see the sunshine yesterday just for it to run away today and hide. So I thought since I don't want to be playing in my garden that I would take some time to start working on one of several Christmas card orders I already have. I am actually really excited to make them . My nick name during the Holiday season isn't Sandy Clause for nothing lol.  186 more days till the big day. Seems like loads of time till you think of all you may have to do. Why leave things for the last minute when you can get a jump start today :)
