Watering the plants

The weather felt like summer today!
The sun was hot and there was a salty breeze coming from the ocean.
Not a cold breeze but the kind that makes you think of sea shells and sunscreen.
Drug store romance novels and sun hats while you lounge sea side on a multi coloured beach towel.
My kids are not so much into making sand castles anymore but that actually doesn't make me as sad as I thought it would.
I dont have to guard them like a hawk by the water as they play, chase them with sunscreen or holler at them for wandering too far.
I can relax again and enjoy the beach.
I love and enjoy my family time but I appreciate the freedom that having older kids bring as compared to the mama's chasing toddlers.
No beach today  but I am typing and listening to my sprinkler in my little yard watering our tomato plants, our strawberry patch, my pumpkin patch, sweet peas and Roses.
I can smell wet grass and our mint patch smells yummy after you water it.
Today I stayed close to home as I battle a head cold that my Loving Bald Man shared with me.
I would've preferred flowers but he tried.
So while I hung out at home I played with my new Digi from Saturated canary called Summer Hottie.
Iam entering her into the One Crazy Stamper summer is fun contest http://www.onecrazystampercom.blogspot.ca/2013/06/june-summer-fun-challenge.html

Thanks for stoping by and hope that you had a great day!
Hugs

  1. Boohoo on sharing a cold. Tell him, No, NO, NO! Loved reading about your mint smell after watering. Know exactly what you meant. So crisp & clean. I can see why you had 'beach' on your mind today. Your card was adorable, and oh, to have that shape again (ah, well, maybe not. I'd be back worrying about a little one!Sometimes old is not so bad. And you're still young!). Thanks for your sweet comment on today's card. It's one that I liked too, (which I usually am my worst critic). As I said, I followed a sketch, not something I usually do. And should! I thought the colors were pretty & summery, and I loved that die. It's a new company for me, but I'll be looking for more by Die-Namics as budget allows. The fella at Oozak, where I buy online, recommended these. Hope you shake that cold soon. Hugs
