Being lucky enough to be part of this monthly Christmas blog hop is literally a dream come true for a Christmas nut like me.
This blog gives me a chance every month to display my Christmas cards and keep me motivated so I don't fall behind for the upcoming Christmas craft fairs.
Its also allowed me to be part of an amazingly talented group of woman that inspire me monthly.
If you have arrived from the talented Sallys blog than you are in the right spot to see the hop in order.
At the bottom of the post I have the hop order in case you may have missed one.
This months theme is Non-traditional Christmas colours.
For me Traditional Christmas colours are Red and Green.
My first card I used brown card stock as my base and some of my brown toned Vintage Whimsy stamp papers.
I used my Kraftin Kimmie Nativity stamps and coloured them all up in earth tones.
I did add some Poinsettia stickers after that are shades of pink and greens and a strip of red but it is mostly earth tones I think.
I also went a tad crazy with my Spica glitter pen lol.
My second card I used charcoal grey as the base than shades of baby blue and white.
I used my new Tiddly Inks Stamp and got to play with my Whimsy Snowflake die cuts again.
Love, love, love them.
My Big Shot is the coolest prezzie my Bald Man has ever bought me next to my first iPod.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Christmas cards I hope that you are enjoying the hop.
Next stop is Lee Ann blog and I know you will love it!!!
Hugs and Merry Christmas

Sandy, these are gorgeous. I am so enjoying all the uses of the non traditional colours. I like how you used all the images in the Kraftin' Kimmie set for the first card. The snowflakes are an elegant touch to the second card. I love your enthusiasm for Christmas and you are a great addition to our team. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather :)
DeleteMust confess the traditional red & greens are my Christmas colors as well, but you've really done it well with your browns, on this first card. Especially enjoyed your aperture layout, and your pink-y poinsettias. Awesome. Your 2nd card was more of a traditional one, I think, but the icy blues were just chilly enough on a hot SC afternoon. Great job on BOTH cards, and I love my Big shot too. TFS & Happy afternoon.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards love the tidily inks one I have that whimsy snow flake die I just love it :)
ReplyDeleteBoth are too cute!!

Love your first card....fab and the second one is very sweet. It was a difficult challenge as I also usually go for red and green.
ReplyDeleteThe first one must have taken ages.
Hope you are ok.
