Love and marriage

Had a day off from work today since this is BC first Family day!
So far my family is happily being lazy.
Iam enjoying some quiet time in my craft room with a bottle of Perrier.
The kids call it my pretend pop.
I was commissioned to make a 50th wedding anniversary card.
I chose Tom and Tilly from Mo's Digital pencil stamp site.
I love this picture.
In a world where I have many friends and family that didn't even make it to their tenth wedding anniversary.
It makes me happy to know there are still lovers that stand the test of time.
This week is also host to Valentines Day.
The day of commercial love many people say.
I still say as long as you dont NEED a date on the calendar to make your spouse or partner know you love them; than its ok to enjoy the hearts and flowers.
I do.

I had a second card ordered this week.
A birthday card for a star lover.
That one was tricky.
I have a couple cute images that had characters that had something to do with stars but I was afraid they were to juvenile for a 60th birthday.
So instead I found some star paper in my Christmas stash and used bling to jazz it up.
I like how it turned out.

  1. Hi Sandy, I LOVE this image! I used it a few years back for a 60 something wedding anniversary for my bro & sis-in-law. Isn't it lovely to color, and such a sweet image! You've done a wonderful job of coloring. Did you use copics or pencils? (I did copics). Our 50th is coming up in the summer, and I might just make DH this card too! TFS & appreciate your sweet comments at the blog.

    1. Thanks Mary! I have been working really hard on my colouring. I used my Copics to colour it up. My husband bought me a set of Prisma colours so I might try again with them. 50 years soon for you, whats the secret? My husband and I have been together since high school. Been married for 15, time sure has flown by.

  2. Forgot to say how much I liked the corner dimension treatment you used. Really highlighted the image swell.
